Installation and Initial Setup
Installing the Full Version of EZ2000 Plus Dental
1. The Trial Version is always installed on the server (main computer) first, and then it is updated to the full version.
2. Run the EZ2000 Plus Dental trial version.
3. Go to Help, Update and click Setup in the upper left corner. Click Change and enter the Registration Key from your Welcome email. Click OK twice to return to the Update window.
4. Click Check for Updates to see a list of all available
updates. Normally, you want to install the New Stable
version. Do not install Beta (testing) versions, unless you are
comfortable with potential errors. Beta versions are not quite as
stable and will require frequent updates.
5. If you are installing on more than one computer, see Installing on a Workstation.
Initial Setup
These three steps are required:
Step 1. Enter the practice name and address.
Step 2. Set up the main provider.
Step 3. Run procedure code tools, especially the D-codes Tool.
There is also a checklist, Getting Started with EZ2000 Plus Dental.pdf, for other optional setup items.
Step 1. Practice name and address
In the Main
Menu, click Setup, Practice. Enter
the name and address of your practice.
.
Step 2. Setup a Provider.
In the Main Menu, click Lists, Providers.

Double click on DOC to edit. You will be editing DOC instead of adding
your own provider. At a minimum, change the first and last name to
the primary dentist and clear out any values that are obviously wrong.

Step 3. Run Procedure Code Tools. (skip this step if still using the trial version)
In the Main Menu, click Lists, Procedure
Codes. At the lower left, click Tools. Click Run Now.

User Manual
If you have an internet connection, the best way to access the online web manual is to go to the Main Menu
in EZ2000 Plus Dental, and select Help, Online Help. The manual is also
on the installation CD. One of the folders on the CD is called Manual.
After opening this folder, click on the file called index.html. The
main page of our website should open, with all the various links
including the manual intact. You may also copy the entire Manual folder
from your CD to your harddrive, and open it from there.
Getting Started
If you have time, it's helpful to go through the rest of the setup
sections in the Main Menu to familiarize yourself with them, but it's
not essential. You are now ready to start Adding
Patients and Scheduling
Appointments.
See Tutorials for videos that cover common
tasks.
